About Friends of HSMH Canada

Compassion, service and care for mothers and children

Friends of HSMH Canada is a Canadian philanthropic organization established to support the mission of Hasan Suleman Memorial Hospital and related healthcare initiatives.

Who we are

Canada’s role in the HSMH mission

Our work is grounded in compassion, service, transparency, and commitment to improving healthcare access for underserved communities.

Through community engagement and charitable support in Canada, we aim to fund high-impact healthcare programs, with a particular focus on Maternal and Child Health Care.

Friends of HSMH Canada mobilizes supporters in Canada and directs philanthropic attention toward high-impact healthcare needs, building on the shared mission of Friends of HSMH.

OUR MISSION

Sustainable healthcare needs more than individual treatment.

It requires accessible services, trained healthcare professionals, appropriate medical equipment, education, prevention, and continued community support. Our priorities:

  • Support maternal healthcare
  • Improve access to essential medicines and medical equipment

  • Encourage community participation and philanthropy
  • Strengthen newborn and pediatric care
  • Support health education and prevention
  • Help develop sustainable healthcare capacity

OUR VISION

Every mother cared for. Every child, a healthy start.

A future where every mother can receive safe and dignified care, every newborn has a healthy start, and every child has access to quality healthcare regardless of financial circumstances.

We envision stronger families, healthier children, and communities empowered through access to compassionate and reliable healthcare.
